Yamaha XSR 155 Officially Launched in Nepal at Rs. 5.39 Lakh
Yamaha Nepal has officially launched the highly anticipated Yamaha XSR 155 in the Nepalese market, bringing the brand's neo-retro motorcycle to local enthusiasts with a starting price of Rs. 5.39 lakh.
The XSR 155 has been one of the most awaited Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal, combining retro-inspired styling with the modern mechanical package shared with Yamaha's popular MT-15 and R15.
The motorcycle is available in Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue colour options, depending on the variant.
The XSR 155 follows Yamaha's neo-retro design language, featuring a round LED headlamp and tail lamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, flat single-piece seat and a circular LCD instrument cluster designed to resemble a traditional analogue gauge while providing digital information.
Power comes from a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine featuring Yamaha's Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. The engine produces 18.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is built around Yamaha's Deltabox frame and gets upside-down front forks and a Monocross rear suspension setup. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, while traction control is also available.
The combination of retro styling, a performance-oriented engine and modern chassis technology makes the XSR 155 a distinctive addition to Yamaha's lineup in Nepal. It is aimed at buyers looking for a motorcycle that combines classic design with modern performance and everyday usability.
